The school emblem was renewed as it is, right after the school transformed itself from Toyohashi Junior High School to Toyohashi High School in July, 1948.
The school continued to use the emblem when it later changed its name to Jishukan High School.
The shape is a monogram of "ト"and "ヨ", which represents the sound of the first of the two Chinese characters used in “Toyohashi”.
The color blue is a cloisonne work of the best quality while the outer rim is coated in silver.
It was originally designed by Tomiyasu Masaya, who was one of the teachers teaching here at that time.
